Scholastic Storytellers

Scholastic Storytellers gives students the chance to turn their real-life experiences, thoughts, and ideas into powerful stories that jump off the page and onto the screen. Research shows that students are more excited to read and write when the stories are about people “just like them.” In this program, you’ll work with creative coaches who will help you write your own scripts while improving your reading, writing, and speaking skills in fun and interactive ways. But that’s just the beginning! Their words will come to life through film as they learn how to develop their own short film. Along the way, you’ll team up with other young storytellers, share ideas, and discover your strengths in roles like: Acting, Directing, Camera Crew, Hair & Makeup, Wardrobe, and Set Design. Together they will build confidence and creativity, while creating something unforgettable.
